The limit is clear: I run few projects at a time. If your need calls for a team of several full-time developers, an agency will be better sized, and I will tell you so.
Automating poorly defined rules reproduces the ambiguities. We start by understanding how things really work, who is responsible and the special cases.

An AI agent can handle a task that involves reading, sorting or searching through information. Its role, its access and the human approval steps are defined before development. AI is not added where simple rules will do. To query internal documentation, I most often use RAG, which I explain in my guide to agentic RAG.
The starting point is your current situation: time spent, number of operations and errors to fix. After go-live, we compare these against actual use, taking exceptions and supervision time into account.
A gain announced before the audit remains an estimate. I prefer a first measurable scope to a general promise of productivity.
n8n can be self-hosted, including in Switzerland or on infrastructure you control. But where it is hosted is not enough: every connection and every AI service may send data to another provider.
So we define the data processed, the access rights, the destinations and the retention periods. If processing must stay within a specific perimeter, the tools and models must be chosen and configured accordingly.

It depends on the number of tools to connect and the complexity of the business rules. A simple first workflow — an automatic reminder, a sync between two tools — takes a few days of work. You always receive a fixed price before I start, never an open-ended time-and-materials arrangement.
No, that is the whole point. n8n and Make connect to what you already use — accounting, CRM, email, spreadsheets. Replacing software that works just to fit in an automation would be tackling the problem the wrong way round.
Hosting is decided project by project. n8n can be self-hosted, including in Switzerland, but connected tools and AI services may process data elsewhere. We review each destination and the access rights required.
Every automation is built with explicit error handling and an alert: you are warned before your client is. The documentation lets you step in yourself, and I remain reachable for anything beyond that.
No. The workflows sit in your account, they are documented, and your team is trained to evolve them. A client who stays by choice is worth more than one who stays because they can’t leave.
Not for day-to-day use, when things are designed for your team. Training comes with the delivery. Some changes or more complex connections may require technical work.
No. I’m an independent consultant: I carry out the audit, build the n8n or Make workflows and run the training myself, with no subcontracting. For an SME, that means a single point of contact from the first call to go-live. The trade-off is limited capacity: I take on few projects at a time and I tell you from the outset if my schedule doesn’t suit you.
